JH Books was established in 1996 as a school library book supplier. The business has expanded to include school textbooks, class readers and books for pre-schoolers. We supply books directly to schools and individuals in South Africa.

Our mission is to be as efficient as possible and provide a personal service to suit your needs.

If you cannot find the books you are looking for on our site, please send an email to jhbooks@absamail.co.za and we will source them for you.

WE ARE A SMALL BUSINESS AND DO NOT ALWAYS HAVE STOCK OF EVERY BOOK ON OUR WEBSITE. THE BOOKS LISTED ON OUR SITE ARE BOOKS THAT WE USUALLY HAVE IN STOCK, OR CAN ORDER IN. PLEASE NOTE THAT AT CERTAIN TIMES OF THE YEAR (ESPECIALLY JANUARY/ FEBRUARY) PUBLISHERS THEMSELVES OFTEN RUN OUT OF STOCK, SO PLEASE HAVE PATIENCE – WE ARE DOING OUR VERY BEST!

For large orders, we are happy to offer a delivery service, subject to a courier fee. If you would like us to deliver, please contact us at jhbooks@absamail.co.za before making payment, to discuss the courier fee.

Many parents have chosen to Home-school their children, or to co-teach alongside schools during this time. We have put together a list of suitable Textbooks, Workbooks and Teacher’s Guides that come highly recommended by teachers that we have worked with for over 20 years.
